Iranian actor Amin Tarokh has been awarded Best Actor for his performance in ‘Dead-End of Trust’ at the Silk Road International Film Festival in Ireland.
Directed by Hamid Kaviani, this was the film’s first international appearance along with Amin Tarokh’s first international award for his remarkable performance.
According to a summary of the film, ‘Dead-End of Trust’ is “a simple story of fondness. A story of an inner love – one made of the same “blood” - still some time remains which is worth more than what has lasted so far.”
Hanieh Tavassoli, Mehdi Pakdel, Houman Barqnavard, Homayoun Ershadi, and Jamshid Mashayekhi are among the remaining cast members of the film.
Known amongst ifilm viewers for his extraordinary performances in ‘Avicenna’, ‘The Green Journey’, and ‘Coma’, Amin Tarokh has won the Fajr International Film Festival Crystal Simorgh for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for ‘The Moon and the Sun’ (1995) and was nominated for a Crystal Simorgh for Best Actor for his performance in ‘The Havana Brief’ (2005).
Founded in 2012, the Silk Road International Film Festival (SRIFF) is an internationally acclaimed film festival which is held annually in Dublin, Ireland celebrating world cinema while discovering new films and voices from around the world.
